A healing story: breathwork, abundance, and finding your way home to yourself

Last week a client came to me for a breathwork journey with a very clear intention:

“I want to clear my blocks around abundance so I can finally feel safe receiving.”

During the breathwork session, something opened.

A wave of emotion rose – sadness, fragility, a sense of not belonging, fear of failure, fear of being rejected, fear of not being worthy of receiving.

But they had been buried.

Breathwork has a way of going straight to the root – bypassing the mind and landing right in the body where these patterns are stored.

Clearing doesn’t always happen in one session – and that’s okay.

After the session, my client felt tender.
She’ found herself crying ‘for no reason’ at various time during the next day.
She felt wobbly and vulnerable.
She wondered why she suddenly felt “small” or like she didn’t belong anywhere, and didn’t want to show up as she usually did.

And this is where many people misunderstand the healing process.

When a pattern is clearing, you often FEEL the energy as it leaves.
You feel:

• the unworthiness
• the not-belonging
• the fear of failure
• the rejection wound

…not because they’re true,
but because they are being released.

This is why being held in safe space matters.
This is why guided integration matters.
This is why you shouldn’t make any big decisions while in the middle of an emotional detox.

So she slept on it.

And the next morning, wanting clarity about whether the clearing was complete, we pulled a tarot spread for her.
